Grillissä tirisee
Viime viikkoina on taas kohuttu siitä, että ravitsemussuositukset ja iso paha ruokateollisuus pilaa kansalaisten terveyden. Todellisuudessa terveyden pilaamiseen tarvitaan aika paljon muitakin tekijöitä ja kuluttajien aktiivisia päätöksiä kauppareissuilla. Meillä on vähäosaisuutta, mutta Suomessa ei ole ruoka-aavikoita ja tähän aikaan vuodesta marjat, hedelmät ja kasvikset ovat varsin edullisia.
Myönnettäköön, että hyvien valintojen tekemistä ei auta, että kesän suurimman juhlan ruokamarkkinointi on sitä, mitä se tällä hetkellä on. Totta kai se ohjaa ajattelua siihen, mitä kannattaa ostaa ja mitä juhannuksena kokkailtaisiin. Mitä muutkin.
Tässä tämän viikon ruokamainoksia ja muutama kommentti kuhunkin. Ajatuksena on poihtia, edustaako mainokset mitenkään vaikkapa parjattujen ravitsemussuositusten linjaa. (Joka siis on syynä terveysongelmiin yhdessä ruokateollisuuden kanssa — sanovat eräät.) Ruokavalion perusta on kasviksissa, hedelmissä ja marjoissa. Lihaa hyvinkin maltillisesti. Täysjyväistä sopivasti. Kalaa useita kertoja viikossa (ympäristöystävällistä kalaa siis). Hyviä rasvoja. Herkullista ja monipuolista, ilolla syöden.

Jee, kirsikoita ja paprikaa! Sitten onkin tarjolla erilaiisa lihoja, suolaista fetaa ja sokerista mehua sekä tietysti olutta.

Fiinimpää lihaa, fiinimpää makkaraa, kaloja (joiden joukossa muun muassa ympäristön kannalta pulmallisia jättikatkarapuja), uusia perunoita, leipää, juustoa, jäätelöä, mehua ja hedelmä- vihannesosaston antimista mansikat, persikat ja tomaatit.
Prisma
Ei Prisman mainoksessakaan riehuta kasvisosuuden kanssa. Kesäsipulia, vesimelonia, ja jos oikein yrittää, kai ne uudet perunat voi laskea kauden hevi-tuotteisiin, vaikkei niitä siihen puoleen lasketa, jos mietitään ravitsemusoppeja. Sitten oiskin taas lihaa, makkaraa, vähän kalaa, pullaa (perinteinen juhannusherkku?), limpparia, lonkkua ja sipsiä.

Ylläri, fileetä ja makkaraa. Pisteet tietysti edullisista tomaateista, mutta ne onkin tämän sivun ainut kasvis. Janon sammuttamisesta pyritään huolehtimaan virvoitusjuomien, pullovesien ja kaffen avulla. Ei nyt mitenkään erikoinen listaus, eikä erityisen houkuttelevakaan.
Juhlat on vaan juhlia?
Tiedän, että joku nyt älähtää, että niin, mutta se on juhla ja ei silloin tarvitse miettiä, mitä syö. Ei tarvitsekaan, mutta kyllä se ruoka-ajatteluamme ja -kulttuuriamme kuvaa, jos pyhien ruokalista koostuu pääasiassa sikamaisesta määrästä lihaa, pekonia, vähän ehkä kalaa ja halpaa olutta ja limpparia. Kasvikset voi asetella somasti grillivadin ympärille koristamaan annosta.
Monille juhannus starttaa grillikauden. Jokainen valitkoon, mitä haluaa juhannuksen grilliin paistumaan, mutta tietoinen kannattaa kuitenkin olla siitä, mihin rahansa laittaa. Vähän kapinahenkeä, että se iso paha ruokateollisuus ei pääse ohjaamaan sitä, mitä suuhun laitamme.
Grillikausi olkoon pitkä ja herkullinen! Lihojen ja kalojen kanssa kannattaa muista myös raikkaat ja kevyet tarjottavat, kuten kasvisvartaat, folionyytit ja herkulliset salaatit, joita voi lapioida vaikka alkupalana, kun odottelee grillissä paistuvien ruokien kypsymistä.
